This blog is an example of the new blogs that are now available to all P.K. Yonge faculty. These blogs have many new features that make them more powerful than our previous blogs. You can now easily add pictures, file attachments, and videos to your posts. You also have more control over the appearance of your blog, with more themes to choose from and more text formatting options. To get started using your new blog I have added several resources below. A video tutorial is provided in the following posts that will show you how to setup and start using your blog. Additionally, you can download and read the instructions that are attached to this post as a Word document (see link at bottom of this post. For those of you just itching to get started without instruction simply go to
http://pky.ufl.edu/users and click on "Create Your Weblog" as seen in the picture below.

If you're wondering how you might use your blog here are some ideas:
- Post a summary of what you do in class everyday and include attachments with worksheets, notes, and other classroom documents.
- Use the blog to make important class announcements and information available to parents.
- Post links to extra resources for your students to explore outside of class.
- Post pictures of what your students are doing in class, or what your club is doing after school.
- Post your own thoughts, ideas, and reflections for the benefit of yourself or other teachers.
