    Morning Announcements


    Good luck to the softball team they start their district playoffs today (4/16) at 5pm inFt. White.

    Congratulations to the varsity baseball team for their 18-10 victory over Trenton last night (4/15). Senior night is Friday (4/18) against Union County. Everyone is invited out to bid farewell to seniors CJ Brown, Alex Mikkelsen, and Andrew Treweek as they will play in their last regular season home game. The ceremony starts at 6:30 and the game will follow at 7:00.

    LaCrosse Team banquet is this Sunday (4/20) See Ms. Palmer today for details.

    High school juniors and seniors are needed to host a career fair participant on the morning of Tues 4/22 from 8:30-11:30. Responsibilities include meeting and greeting, escorting, staying with the participants, running errands and other responsibilities as needed.See Mrs. Otero in the guidance office by Thurs. 4/17. You will earn 3 community service hours.

    "It's prom time again. Tickets are on sale now. Tickets are $35 each and can be purchased any time at the business office. The Prom is Saturday May 10th. Don't miss out on this "enchanted" event.

    Come take a reading road trip with the 4th grade Scholastic book fair in the Mead Library! We will be open through Friday (4/18) from 8-3:30. Parent Night is Thurs. (4/17) from 4-7pm.

    Seniors, you have the opportunity to have portraits taken in a cap and gown next Thursday, April 24th, in the library. Picture order forms are available in Mr. Beyer and Ms. Brammer's room. If you want to have your portrait taken, you MUST pick up an order form in advance and see Mr. Beyer or Ms. Brammer to sign up for a time slot IN ADVANCE. Payment will be due to the photographer when you have your photo taken and the cap and gown will be provided. See Ms. Brammer with any questions.

    Any Sophomore or Junior with an unweighted G.P.A. of 3.5 or higher may pick up an application for membership in the National Honor Society from Mr. Seymour in room L-353. All completed National Honor Society applications are due to Mr. Seymour by Monday, May 5th.

    Class of 2011 t-shirts are available from Mr. Seymour for the sale price of $8.00. If you have already taken delivery of a shirt on credit, please pay the original agreed upon price by Wednesday, April 30th to avoid a late payment fee. All proceeds go to the C/O 2011 Fund.

    There will be a meeting of current members of the National Honor Society on Thursday, (4/17) at 1:30 in Mr. Seymour’s Room.

    Help the Parent Teacher Organization decide on their next t-shirt design! The final designs are posted in the glass case outside the front office and also on posters around the Middle/High school wings. Please vote on this morning (4/15) in your home room. Home room teachers please send them to the front office ASAP.

    Students interested in taking driver’s ed this summer should stop by the guidance office to pick up an application today (4/14) or tomorrow (4.15).The applications should be returned to the traffic safety center as soon as possible to be sure to get a spot in the class.You must be 15 by June 7th in order to enroll in summer driver’s ed.

    April is National Poetry Month. Please come to the library to see selected poetry books in display. Our featured Author of the month is Emily Dickinson.

    Santa Fe Community college will be hosting “Senior Night 2008” on Wednesday 4/16/08 from 6 to 8 pm. High school seniors and their families are invited to SFCC for an evening of tours, interest sessions an program information.

    Students remember to take care of all overdue books and fines in the Library.

    Tickets are for sale for “42nd Street” $10.00 students and $15.00 for adults.The box office is open everyday. 1:30-3:30.
