    Morning Announcements

    No cross country conditioning today (5/8) after school.

    Ms. Skye’s art classes meet in front of the building by the gym.

    We will play the PKY Celebrating 75 Years video through the closed circuit channel 71 on Thursday & Friday Morning at 8:20 am for elementary school and 8:40 am for secondary.The video will last for about 9 minutes.If you do not have the video CCTV in your classroom, please e-mail David Young.He will loan you a copy to play in your classroom.

    Auditions for Vocal Ensemble will be held next Thursday, May 15, 3-5 pm in the Chorus Room. These are open to any student (8-11). You will be asked to learn a dance combination at the audition and to sing a prepared song of your choosing. Please sign up on the Chorus Room Door. See Mr. Mackintosh or Ms. Kelsey for more information.

    Auditions for Chorus will be held on Tuesday, May 20 3-5 pm. Anyone wanting to register for Chorus or Women’s Chorus must audition to be able to register for the course. Students should prepare a song, however, they can always sing “Happy Birthday.” A sign-up sheet is on the Chorus Room door.

    The PKYPTO is pleased to congratulate Shae Hasson as the winner in the Design the New T-shirt Contest. The new shirts with Shae’s design will be on sale today during the Tumbling Creek Arts Festival. PKYPTO wishes to thank all those student who submitted entrees. Hope to see you at the Spirit Wear Table later today.

    15, after school in the aerobics room.

    Get your 2008 yearbook orders in before it's too late. We fully expect to sell out again this year. The yearbook staff will take orders at middle school and high school lunch May 12-16. Books are $60. Seniors must pay with cash, money order or credit card. See Ms. Brammer if you have any questions.

    Any 6-11th graders interested in trying out for cheerleading for the 2008-09 school year should attend a mandatory meeting Monday (5/12) 3-3:20pm in the Library.

    This Friday (5/9) night come see R-evolution an amazing student run show put on by the instrumental music class. There will be rock, blues, bluegrass and fun for all. The show is at 7:00pm and is free-yes free to everyone. Come on out and support your classmates as they perform a musical work of art for you.

    Middle School Students – National Junior Honor Society applications can be picked up in Mr. Carnley’s room and Mrs. Weller’s room. All completed applications are due by Friday, May 9th.

    The Prom is Saturday May 10th. Don't miss out on this "enchanted" event. Prom tickets are on sale, the tickets are $35 each and can be purchased at the business office. Prom contracts must be turned in by 4pm Thurs. (5/8)

    Cheerleaders are selling delicious snow cones for $1 at the cafeteria every Tuesday and Thursday after school.

    Reitz Union Art Honors show is April 25- May 8.The gallery is open from 9am-9pm M-Th., 9am-6pm Fri-Sun.

    The P.K. Yonge Tumblin’ Creek Arts festival is today (5/8) 4-7pm.

    Senior Awards Thurs. (5/15) 5:30 in the PAC

    Spring Band concert Tuesday (5/20) 7:30pm. Featuring Mr. Porter’s band students.

    Elementary and Middle school end of the year Choral concert, Wed. 5/28 at 7pm

    Senior Banquet is Thurs. (5/29) (For Seniors, faculty and staff.)

    Graduation is Friday (5/30) 7pm at the Phillips Center for Performing Arts. No charge but tickets are required.
