    Morning Announcements

    Softball team plays in the regionals here at home tonight. 4/22 vs Keystone at 7pm.

    Congratulations to the baseball team for their 18-14 victory over Newberry in the district tournament. The team will play today (4/22) against Chiefland at Ft. White. All players should be released at 12:30, the game is at 4pm.

    There will be a meeting for all football players after school on Wed. (4/23) in the weight room.Be there if you plan to be a part of PK Yonge football in the fall.The meeting will last about 20 minutes.

    Mandatory meeting today (4/22) for students who are traveling to Spain during HS lunch with Ms. Santiago.

    Health Science club will meet today (4/22) after school in Ms. Bearman’s room.We will have a brain researcher as our guest.

    Cheerleaders are selling delicious snow cones for $1 at the cafeteria every Tuesday and Thursday.

    Lacrosse team members your uniforms were due last Friday (4/18) please be sure to turn them in the Ms. Barrett or Ms. Palmer this week.If you didn’t attend the banquet stop by and see Ms. Palmer today (4/21).

    Seniors please make sure you bring your memorable pictures for the Senior Slide show. Please give to Ashely Lansberry, Brittney Posey, or Marissa Lovvorn. The last day they will be collecting is Tues, April 29.

    Last Blood Drive of the year Thursday, 4/24 from 8:30am-3pm. Student donors will receive credit for community service. If you are interested you can sign up with Ashley Hechavarria, Tatum Nichtenberger, Daniel Marston, and Blain Alfonso.

    Prom tickets are on sale now. Tickets are $35 each and can be purchased any time at the business office. The Prom is Saturday May 10th. Don't miss out on this "enchanted" event.

    Seniors, cap & gown portraits will be taken Thursday, April 24th, in the library. Picture order forms are available in Mr. Beyer and Ms. Brammer's room. If you want to have your portrait taken, you MUST pick up an order form in advance and see Mr. Beyer or Ms. Brammer to sign up for a time slot IN ADVANCE. Payment will be due to the photographer when you have your photo taken and the cap and gown will be provided. See Ms. Brammer with any questions.

    Any Sophomore or Junior with an unweighted G.P.A. of 3.5 or higher may pick up an application for membership in the National Honor Society from Mr. Seymour in room L-353. All completed National Honor Society applications are due to Mr. Seymour by Monday, May 5th.

    Class of 2011 t-shirts are available from Mr. Seymour for the sale price of $8.00. If you have already taken delivery of a shirt on credit, please pay the original agreed upon price by Wednesday, April 30th to avoid a late payment fee. All proceeds go to the C/O 2011 Fund.

    April is National Poetry Month. Please come to the library to see selected poetry books in display. Our featured Author of the month is Emily Dickinson.
