Congratulations to the baseball team for a great season? The team battled Keystone Heights last night to a 10-9 loss but finished the season with 16 wins and 12 losses. The coaches are proud of the team this year and look forward to a great summer and season next year!
Ice cream will be served during lunch on today, (4/30), to all those students who made the A/B Honor Roll for the 3rd nine weeks.
Congratulations to the National Honor Society. They were awarded the 2008 Youth Group Volunteer Award at the volunteer Work of Heart banquet. This honor was a result of their Operation Shoebox.
A Reminder to students that you must be off campus by 3:10pm each day.If you are not picked up by then, you will be given lunch detention. Please discuss with your parents where they are to meet you for Pick up, (Elementary top circle or Secondary lower circle by the gym.)
The P.K. Yonge Chapter of Tri-M (the National Music Honor Society) will be distributing invitations for membership to qualified music students today (4/30). The applications must be returned to Mr. Mackintosh’s box in the Front Office NO LATER than Monday, May 5. Inductions for this year’s slate of members will be held at the Vocal Parent’s Association Banquet at Eventfuls on Tuesday, May 6 at 6pm. See Mr. Mackintosh or Ms. Kelsey for more information.
Middle School Students – National Junior Honor Society applications can be picked up in Mr. Carnley’s room and Mrs. Weller’s room. All completed applications are due by Friday, May 9th.
Thursday afterschool in Room K330 from 3 to 5, the Model United Nations Club will show the film “Hotel Rwanda”. We request donations of canned food for the local food banks. Mrs. Schmidt, Ms. Shannon, and Mr. Anderson have arranged extra credit for their students to attend. Please check with them about the specific assignments.
This Thurs., Fri, and Sat (5/1,2,3) performances of 42nd Street at 7pm and Saturday 2pm and 7pm.. The box office is open weekdays12-6pm. Cost is $10.00 students and $15.00 for adults.
Any Sophomore or Junior with an unweighted G.P.A. of 3.5 or higher may pick up an application for membership in the National Honor Society from Mr. Seymour in room L-353. All completed National Honor Society applications are due to Mr. Seymour by Monday, May 5th.
Class of 2011 t-shirts are available from Mr. Seymour for the sale price of $8.00. If you have already taken delivery of a shirt on credit, please pay the original agreed upon price by today, (4/30) to avoid a late payment fee. All proceeds go to the C/O 2011 Fund.
Prom tickets are on sale now. Tickets are $35 each and can be purchased any time at the business office. The Prom is Saturday May 10th. Don't miss out on this "enchanted" event.
Cheerleaders are selling delicious snow cones for $1 at the cafeteria every Tuesday and Thursday after school.
