Morning Announcements

Teachers please keep students in your rooms until the bell rings all week.

Congratulations to Austin Landis, Kahleigh Wasdin and Blythe Ferguson who will be the editors of Making Waves, Vol. 2 next year.

High school students, if your work appeared in the high school literary magazine and you would like an extra copy, please see Ms. Brammer in L-354 right after school today (6/5)

Students, about 20 yearbooks are still available. You can buy one from Ms. Brammer's office in L-355 before or after school until they are sold out. Yearbooks are $60.

Summer Basketball team try-outs : Rising 10th,11th,12th grade boys will be held on today, June 5 at 2:45pm at the Gym.Please leave campus for lunch and return to the gym at 2:45, tryouts will last until 4pm.

Rising 6th, 7th, 8th, & 9th grade boys will be held today (6/5) at 1:15 to 2:45pm at the gym.

Clean out your lockers.Anything left in them after Thurs (6/5) will be thrown away.

Morning Announcements

Elementary and Middle school end of the year Choral concert, tonight 5/28 at 7pm.

Home room will be extended today (5/28) until 9am and you will watch the speeches, turn your TV to channel 71 at 8:35 and vote during homeroom for student government elections. Mr. Scott will come by your rooms to pick up the ballots.

Today is the PK Yonge Middle school herpetological society animal display after school from 3:15-4:00. Be sure to stop by and see giant spiders, dangerous scorpions, massive salamanders, scaly lizards and bugs so ugly it will make your teeth hurt. That is after school from 3:15-4:00 in the N-building arts and sciences building.

JUNIORS- Be sure to have your parking pass stamped by Ms. Richardson (M-345) today to get your senior parking pass.

SENIORS- Graduation rehearsal is Friday at 10 am in the Phillips Center....at this time, you will receive your graduation tickets if you have passed 23 credits, turned in all uniforms and books, and paid ALL outstanding debts.....if you are not sure if you are on this list, please check withthe business office, your teachers, and your coaches.

Graduation is Friday night 7pm.....please note the following rules:
1. You must have a ticket to get in
2. Doors will open promptly at 6:15...your entire party must be present...YOU CANNOT SAVE ANY SEATS
2. Audience members and seniors are not to shout out, whistle or disturb the ceremony in any way

Seniors—If you were in Mr. Cunningham’s 7th grade English class and want to get your time capsule items, we are opening the capsule during High School lunch today(5/23) in Mr. Cunningham’s room.

Today (5/23) the Juniors will get their yearbooks.

Please allow these students to head to the gym at 1 p.m. The signing party will go from 1 to 2 p.m. The yearbook staff will have Sharpies for sale for $1. Books are still available for $60. See Ms. Brammer in L-355 to buy one.

Middle school yearbooks will be distributed today (Friday 5/23) to students who pre-ordered year books, immediately after school. Eighth graders, Ms. Murphy's room, seventh graders, Mrs. Weller's room, and sixth graders, Mrs. Creveling's room.

LaCrosse uniforms MUST be turned in to Coach Barrett or Ms. Palmer this week.If you do not turn them in you can’t take your final exams.

Student Government elections, today with 9thgrade, Friday with 10th and next Tues with 11th.... Each Grade Level is to report on those days to the PAC during homeroom.Candidates MUST turn in a draft of their speech to Coach Scott.

Today the Sophomores will get their yearbooks.

Health Science club is cancelled for today.

The Parent Teacher Organization is pleased to announce the winners of the Boxtops for Education contest held this month. The class who turned in the most was Mrs. Donnelly's Kindergarten class with a total of 502. Second place was Mr. Davidson's Homeroom class with 403 total. Third place was Mr. Steffens 3rd grade class with 350 total. For turning in the most Boxtops this month, Mrs. Donnelly's class will be treated to a pizza party very soon!

Students, don't forget to continue to collect your Boxtops symbols over the summer so you can enter them in the next contest next school year.

There will be a Key Club meeting today (5/6) during high school lunch in O-362 (Ms. Andrews’ room). In addition to our regular business, we will be nominating candidates for 2008-2009 officers. All members, please plan to attend. If you have participated in Key Club activities for service hours, don’t forget to bring completed community service forms!

This Friday (5/9) night come see R-evolution an amazing student run show put on by the instrumental music class. There will be rock, blues, bluegrass and fun for all. The show is at 7:00pm and is free-yes free to everyone. Come on out and support your classmates as they perform a musical work of art for you.

Middle School Students – National Junior Honor Society applications can be picked up in Mr. Carnley’s room and Mrs. Weller’s room. All completed applications are due by Friday, May 9th.

There is a Prom committee meeting Wed. (5/7) in Mr. Burgin’s (0-361) room during lunch.All members please attend.

Prom tickets are on sale now. Tickets are $35 each and can be purchased any time at the business office. The Prom is Saturday May 10th. Don't miss out on this "enchanted" event.

Cheerleaders are selling delicious snow cones for $1 at the cafeteria every Tuesday and Thursday after school.

Reitz Union Art Honors show is April 25- May 8.
